Why Tarot?
|
I’m Phoebe, and I love reading Tarot. I'm an ethical and intuitive reader focused on giving objective advice. I grew up in a household steeped in the Chinese divinatory arts – I Ching, Astrology, Palmistry, Face Reading and Feng Shui. When I read Tarot, I honor my ancestral roots in a way that reflects who I am today.

A multidisciplinary approach |
In addition to the traditional format of Tarot readings, I manifest multidisciplinary presentations that weave poetry and music into the story told by the cards. In my performances, the healing power of the Tarot cards is magnified through music and imagery, and the ritual of performance.
Here’s why I read Tarot the way I do: I’m a free spirit who enjoys wearing far too many hats to give myself one label. I’m a professional musician, wordsmith and yogi, with a degree in architecture. Buddhist meditation (in the Thai Forest style) is the backbone of my life. I engage my artistic and therapeutic skills to custom-design each Tarot reading according to your personal needs. To me there’s nothing better than combining my spiritual and creative practices into one radiant expression of being. Tarot allows me to do that. |
Tarot de Marseille v.s. Rider-Waite-Smith |
My passion is in working with the ancient Tarot de Marseille, but I also read using the traditional Rider-Waite system. Simply put, the Marseille tradition appeals to my creative spirit – it’s been the deck of choice for artists from Pablo Picasso to Alejandro Jodorowsky. A reading with the Marseille deck is in-depth, mysterious and precise, and will end up revealing aspects of a situation you didn’t even know existed. On the other hand, the Rider-Waite system is a concise and down-to-earth method to solve everyday dilemmas.

My inspiration |
Along my Tarot journey, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some incredible masters on the paths of Tarot, Yoga, Music, and the Literary Arts. It would be impossible to list all those who have helped and inspired me. Among my Tarot guides I'd like to thank Brigit Esselmont, Paul Nagy, Enrique Enriquez and Ferol Humphrey.
